Application of an Adaptive Harris Corner Algorithm for Inspection of Pressure Marks on LCD Panel

    Abstract

    An adaptive Harris corner algorithm to inspect the pressure marks formed by bonding process of LCD panel is proposed and experimented here as a validation. The proposed algorithm can enhance the performance of AOI equipment which detects pressure marks on LCD panel. In the validation test, the proposed algorithm shows enhanced performance over 10% in accuracy comparing to the conventional method. As an execution time the proposed algorithm needs longer time than the conventional one, but the time gap between the two is not so big to such an extend as not to be applied in AOI equipment. As a result the proposed algorithm was confirmed to have no problem for improving the performance of AOI equipment.
